This 18 inch arm gives you more space to move the quilt around under the arm so that you can quilt a full 12 inch block with ease. The Empress Sit Down machine comes with a spacious table which also helps you with moving your quilt around while quilting. The Empress Sit Down has no feed dogs to snag the bottom of your quilt and a speed control so that you can adjust the speed to your comfort level.
